What a check is
A real page load of the homepage, every 10 minutes, from outside the site's own network. A 4xx or 5xx answer, a timeout, or a registrar parking page counts as down. A healthy answer counts as up. Nothing is sampled or estimated; uptime is healthy checks divided by all checks.
What happens when a site goes down
The first failed check pages us. Recovery is logged automatically, and every client receives the month's figures by email on the 1st. Clients see the same numbers live in their portal.
