Tech Stack

The stack we build on. Boring. Fast. Yours.

Every Minuswires project ships on the same battle-tested tools — chosen for performance, hireability, and AI-search visibility from day one. You own the code, the entity graph, and the visibility layer that keeps your site findable when Google's being indexed by other AIs.

Why this stack

Three principles, no exceptions.

Boring stack, sharp execution

No experimental frameworks. No proprietary lock-in. Tools battle-tested by Vercel, Stripe, Notion, and the New York Times. If it goes sideways, the docs and the talent pool exist.

You own the code

Every project ships to your GitHub. We hand over keys on day one. If you want to bring development in-house in a year, the runway is there.

Brandlism is included, not sold

The growth-intelligence layer we run on every site — get found, capture demand, improve continuously — is wired into every project we ship. Not an upsell, not a separate license.

What we use, layer by layer.

Every tool below earned its spot by shipping in production for real businesses — not because it was new on Hacker News.

Layer 01

Frontend

What your customers see

Next.js 15

Server-rendered React with the App Router — fast first paints, perfect SEO, no client-side waterfalls.

React 19

The library every other component framework copies. Stable, fast, and hireable if you ever need to bring it in-house.

TypeScript

Catches entire categories of bugs at build time, before your customers ever see them.

Tailwind CSS

Atomic styling that ships less CSS to the browser. Sites stay fast as they grow.

Framer Motion

The animation library that makes interactions feel intentional, not gimmicky.

Layer 02

Data & Backend

Where your business lives

Supabase (Postgres 17)

Real Postgres — not a NoSQL toy. Row-level security, real-time, and you can hire any DBA in the world.

Edge Functions

Serverless Node/TypeScript at the network edge. Sub-100ms response times globally.

Sentry

Errors get caught, attributed, and traced before customers tell you something is broken.

Layer 03

Hosting & Delivery

How it gets to the world

Vercel

Built by the team that builds Next.js. Atomic deploys, instant rollback, zero ops overhead.

Global CDN

Static assets served from the closest edge to every visitor. Sparta to Sydney in under 200ms.

Cloudinary / Supabase Storage

Images served as AVIF/WebP, sized for the device, cached for a year. CLS goes to zero.

Layer 04

Brandlism

The growth-intelligence layer we run on every site

Get Found

Technical and local SEO foundations, structured data, and llms.txt wired in from day one — for Google and AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity.

Capture Demand

Every enquiry captured, scored, tracked, and routed so nothing is lost in an inbox.

Improve Continuously

Traffic and enquiry reporting in one view, with a monthly loop of deciding what to improve next.

What we don't use

The shortlist of things you won't find on a Minuswires site.

WordPress + 47 plugins

Plugin sprawl is the #1 source of slow sites and security incidents. Custom code beats it on every metric.

Squarespace / Wix / Webflow

Fine for hobby sites. Not fine when your forms break and you have no way to fix them at 11pm on a Sunday.

jQuery and legacy build tools

It's 2026. Modern frameworks render faster, ship less code, and are easier to maintain.

Framework-of-the-month

We use stable, widely-adopted tools. If a framework has fewer than 100k weekly downloads, it's not going on your project.

Common questions

Why Next.js instead of WordPress?
Next.js renders pages on the server (or at build time) and ships only the JavaScript a page actually needs. WordPress sites typically load 1-3 MB of plugin JavaScript and CSS on every page, which kills Core Web Vitals and makes Google rank you lower. Our Next.js sites consistently load in under 2 seconds. WordPress averages 3-5 seconds.
Do I own the code?
Yes. Every project is shipped to your own GitHub repository. We hand over admin access on day one. If you want to bring development in-house in a year, or hire another agency, the runway is there. No proprietary lock-in.
What is Brandlism?
Brandlism is the growth-intelligence layer Minuswires runs on every site it builds. It works in three steps: Get Found (technical and local SEO foundations and structured data so Google and AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity can read and reference the site), Capture Demand (lead capture, tracking, and routing so enquiries are not lost), and Improve Continuously (traffic and enquiry reporting with a monthly improvement loop). Included in every project — not sold separately. Full details at minuswires.com/brandlism.
Why Supabase instead of Firebase or a custom backend?
Supabase is built on Postgres — a real, mature, open-source relational database used by Apple, Instagram, and Spotify. You get real SQL, real foreign keys, real transactions, and real row-level security. Firebase locks you into Google's NoSQL document model, which is great for prototypes and painful at scale. With Supabase, you can hire any Postgres developer in the world.
Why Vercel instead of AWS or DigitalOcean?
Vercel is built by the team that builds Next.js, so deployment is one command, rollbacks are instant, and the global CDN is automatic. You don't need a DevOps engineer to keep the lights on. AWS and DigitalOcean are powerful but require ongoing maintenance — and that maintenance becomes your problem, or another monthly invoice.
Can you migrate my existing site to this stack?
Yes. We regularly migrate sites from WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or older custom stacks. We handle the entire migration: content transfer, SEO redirect mapping, schema preservation, and design improvements. Most migrations take 4-6 weeks.
