The list you own, finally used
Email is the only audience you are not renting from a platform, and for most businesses it is the cheapest enquiry you will ever generate. We handle the unglamorous half — authentication, list hygiene, automated follow-up — so the messages arrive in the inbox rather than the spam folder.
The list exists. Nobody has touched it in a year
Almost every business we meet is sitting on a list of people who already trusted them enough to hand over an address, and doing nothing with it. Usually not from neglect but from uncertainty — nobody was sure what to send, whether it would annoy people, or whether it was even landing. All three are answerable.
- The list has not been contacted in months and you are nervous about restarting
- Enquiries get a reply when someone remembers, not automatically
- You do not know whether your email lands in the inbox or the spam folder
- Your domain has no SPF, DKIM or DMARC records, so receivers cannot verify you
- Contacts live in three places — a form, a spreadsheet, and someone's phone
- You send occasionally and cannot tell whether it produced any work
What we set up
The technical foundation first. Sending more email from a domain that cannot authenticate itself simply generates more spam-folder deliveries.
Deliverability and authentication
SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured properly on your domain so receivers can verify your mail is really yours. This is the difference between the inbox and the spam folder, and it is invisible until it is wrong.
Automated follow-up
An acknowledgement the moment someone enquires, an alert to you, and a follow-up sequence so nothing sits unanswered overnight. Most leads are lost to slow response rather than bad marketing.
List hygiene
Duplicates merged, dead addresses removed, and a single source of truth for who is on the list. Sending to a stale list damages the sender reputation that everything else depends on.
Campaigns worth opening
Messages written to be useful to the reader rather than to fill a monthly slot. If there is nothing worth saying this month, we will tell you to skip it — that protects the list more than any subject-line technique.
Segmentation that reflects reality
Past customers, live enquiries and cold subscribers are different audiences and should not receive the same message. Segments built from what people actually did, not from guesses.
Reporting against enquiries
Opens are increasingly unreliable as a metric because of privacy proxies. We report on clicks, replies and enquiries — the things that indicate a human decided to act.
Who email suits
Businesses with an unused list
The most common situation, and the fastest return. The list is already there and already warm — it needs restarting carefully rather than building from zero.
Anyone losing leads to slow replies
If enquiries wait hours for a first response, automated acknowledgement and follow-up recovers work you are currently losing without noticing.
Repeat-purchase and seasonal businesses
Where the same customer buys again, email is how you stay in mind between purchases without paying for the reach twice.
Businesses whose mail stopped arriving
If replies dried up or someone told you your email went to spam, that is a DNS and authentication problem, and it is fixable.
How we start
Deliverability, then data, then sending. Doing these out of order is how a list gets burned.
Check what leaves your domain now
Your DNS records, your sending history, and whether anything is currently being rejected or filtered. You get this assessment whether or not you go further.
Fix authentication
SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up correctly, then verified by sending and reading the results rather than assuming.
Consolidate the list
One source of truth, cleaned, with consent status recorded and unsubscribes honoured properly.
Automate the follow-up
The sequences that run without anyone remembering — enquiry acknowledgement, nudges, and internal alerts.
Restart sending carefully
A gradual re-warm rather than a blast to a year-old list, which is the fastest way to get a domain filtered.
Report and adjust
What was sent, what was clicked, what came back as an enquiry, and what we are changing.
What it costs
Setup is one-time scoped work. Ongoing campaign work is optional and only worth paying for if you actually have something to send.
- The deliverability review is free and the findings are yours regardless
- Authentication and list setup is one-time work, quoted up front
- Your sending platform is billed by them, on your account, not marked up by us
- Ongoing campaign writing is optional and priced per campaign
- Automated sequences are built once and keep running without a monthly fee
Questions about email
- Why does my email go to spam?
- Nearly always because your domain cannot prove the mail is really from you. SPF, DKIM and DMARC are DNS records that let receiving servers verify the sender, and if they are missing or misconfigured, Gmail and Outlook increasingly filter by default rather than risk it. It is a technical fix, not a writing problem, and it is usually resolved the same day.
- Is it safe to email a list I have not contacted in a year?
- Not in one go. A sudden send to a stale list produces spam complaints and can damage your domain's reputation for months afterwards. The safe approach is a gradual re-warm to your most recently engaged contacts first, with a clear reminder of why they are hearing from you and an easy way out.
- Which email platform should I use?
- For most small businesses the platform matters far less than the setup. We will recommend one that fits your list size and what you actually intend to send, and it is billed on your own account at their price — we do not resell it or take a margin on it.
- How often should I send?
- Less often than most advice suggests, and only when you have something worth reading. A useful message every six weeks outperforms a filler newsletter every week, because the second one trains people to ignore you. We would rather skip a month than send something nobody needed.
- Do you write the emails or do I?
- Either. Some clients want the sequences built and then write their own campaigns, which is cheaper and often sounds more like them. Others want it handled. The automated follow-up is usually worth having us build, because it runs unattended and has to be right.
- What about GDPR and CAN-SPAM?
- Consent status, a working unsubscribe in every message, and your real postal address are requirements, not preferences. We set these up correctly as part of the work. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice, but the mechanics are standard and we will not build something that ignores them.
