Common questions

Do these QR codes ever expire?
No. The code is generated in your browser and encodes your link directly, so there is no redirect service in the middle that could be switched off. Many free generators route through their own short link, which means your printed menu stops working the day that company changes its plans. These do not: as long as the destination URL works, the code works.
Is there a watermark, signup, or usage limit?
None of the three. Enter a link or any text, choose a size, and download a PNG. Nothing is uploaded to us and no account is required.
What size should I download for printing?
Pick the largest size offered and scale it down in your design tool rather than up — a QR code enlarged from a small PNG becomes blurry at the edges and scanners struggle. As a rule of thumb, print the code at least 2cm x 2cm for something held in the hand, and considerably larger for a window or poster read from across a room.
Can I put my logo in the middle?
Not with this tool — it generates a clean code with standard error correction. If you overlay a logo yourself, keep it small and centred, then test the result with several phones before printing anything. Covering too much of the code makes it unreadable, and that failure usually shows up only after the flyers are printed.
What can I encode besides a website link?
Any text works. Common uses are a menu or booking page URL, a phone number, a Wi-Fi password for a waiting room, or a plain-text address. If you are linking to a page on your own site, point it at a real page rather than a homepage and let people land where they expected to.
